Prosody should save a user's last activity (a timestamp, not his actual activity) to enable deletion of inactive/unused accounts. This is needed in order to implement issue #131.

It's been suggested that as well as last login time, we should store the user's last IP address too. WFM.

I would appreciate this. It's time to implement this.

Indeed... we're working on it :) It'll be part of the next release (we're planning the first release candidate for the end of next month).

Unfortunately I have to push this to 1.0 (which seems ridiculous for what I still believe to be a very small issue). We need to get the coming release out. I see no reason we can't have this feature for 0.9 as a module in prosody-modules, so I'll look into that if necessary.

This could be done together with "mod_housekeeping" in issue #131. Version 1.0 will still need a couple of years, right? ;)

    > Version 1.0 will still need a couple of years, right? ;) No, I don't think so :) I'm already dropping planned features from it (likely even clustering) to make sure that doesn't happen.

mod_lastlog has been in prosody-modules for a while, should we promote it to a core module?
